This was back in April, when my residential hall had started to install the Wi-Fi modem in each of the blocks. My residential hall was the last to install the Wi-Fi modem out of all the residential halls in UUM.
In the beginning, the download speed was amazing. It reached 2 MB/s or 2,000 KB/s which was awesome fast ! I never see this fast download speed ever!
However, this awesome speed only last for few days. Now, if I want to download a file, the maximum speed it can reach is 20 KB/s and it happens only in the morning.
The Wi-Fi service is provided by SerindIT UUM and this company has been given the contract to supply Wi-Fi to all students residential halls in UUM. Last time, Cisco was the main supplier but now only certain places still remain under Cisco. Mostly have been swifted to SerindIT.
