6% Airtime Tax !!

Refer back to my previous post : Airtime Tax ~ What the hell..

According to The Star today, it has been confirmed that beginning on 15 September 2011 onwards, telcos would start charging 6% service tax on each prepaid reload or a purchase of a new starter pack.

With this new ruling, consumers would be heavily effected as each RM 1.00 reload into phone, telcos would charge RM 0.06. If reload RM 10.00, hence RM 0.60 would charge on consumers and consumers have to fork out RM 10.60.

Strictly disagree on this new ruling. I wonder are consumers able to fight back on this new ruling by MCMC. This would be similarly to Goods and Services Tax (GST) whereas we are inevitable to pay for the tax although we are against on it.

Facebook 3.5 updates

Facebook has updated on its iOS app to version 3.5.

As everyone is still waiting for the release of the official Facebook for iPad app, the latest version has yet to support on iPad and is seriously disappoint a lot of iPad fans.

However, with this new version, iPhone and iPod touch would enjoy :

- Made it easier to share with who you want
- Added the ability to tag friends and places in posts
- Added the ability to share external links from a web view
- Added new design for Profile and Group Walls
- Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the web site

Improvement and bugs :

- Improved Notifications speed
- Fixed a number of Chat bugs
- Made it easier to select filters in News Feed
- Fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing
- Fixed a number of Photos bugs
- Improved performance and stability overall

Facebook removed iPad support in their latest app update. It’s not possible for FaceForward to enable something that’s no longer in the app.

Big disappointment!
