Accounts Clerk

During the two months of semester break, I went back to my previous employer, Tang Yuet Mun & Co. (an accounting firm) to learn new things and get more and more experience from my boss and colleagues, although, I was there for a month as an account clerk..

I worked in the same accounting firm after I graduated from Form 6.. I worked there for half year until I got a place in the university.. It was very nostalgia to be back again at the accounting firm..

During the time, I was given several tasks especially book keepings for the sole proprietors and partnerships accounts.. Meanwhile, I had the chance to explore new thing - auditing company accounts.. With the help and explanation from my colleagues, I learned a lot throughout the one month practicum.. They treated me very nice and I gained a lot of experience from them..

I understood the difference of working and study styles.. Things I learned from education are different from the working styles even though, accounting has the format or criteria to be followed.. My boss and colleagues taught me a lot of things that cannot be gained from classes.. This made me special among my classmates.. haha

This message is dedicated to my boss and my colleagues : Thank you very much and you all mean a lot to me..

NATCON 2010

Hey AIESEC..!!

From the 20th until 28th June, I attended the AIESEC National Conference at the University Malaya.. Although, the National Conference (NATCON) was held from 22nd until 26th June, our Management Team of AIESEC UUM went there earlier for our Local Committee planning and preparation before the NATCON.. After the NATCON, we had our Local Committee Planning Meet in Genting Highlands..

The purpose of the NATCON was for us, all the Local and Member Committee of AIESEC Malaysia together planning for our coming term which will begin on 1st July until next year 30th June..

This was also a platform for us to know each other from other universities as well as bonding with our Management Team of AIESEC UUM..

We planned for the whole year activities, goals, measurement and etc.. Our term ambition is To Be The Top Global Youth Leadership Organization..

It was very exciting and enjoying conference.. It was also my first conference as an AIESECer.. haha.. Anyway, let's start our term with a blessing and blasting.. Good Luck to all..!!

Bak Chang

Happy Bak Chang Day..!!

Haha.. Today, all Chinese around the world is celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival.. The festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. The festival is held to honour of scholar-poet Qu Yuan, who took his own life by jumping into the Mi Luo River. Fearing the fish would eat his body, Qu's friends and supporters made dumplings and threw them into the river so that the fish would seek out the dumplings ( Zongzi ) instead of Qu's body. In this festival, all Chinese are celebrating it with eating the Bak Chang (Rice Dumplings)

Few days before the celebration, my aunt made a lot of Bak Chang for my family and relatives. I had not seen all the process of making the Bak Chang but it wasn't easy as it needs certain skills especially wrapping the rice and ingredients into reed leaves..

~Bak Chang~

~It has pork, peanuts, mushroom, dried shrimps, garlic inside~

Bak Chang is very delicious to eat but very expensive as market price is around RM 5 for one Bak Chang..!
