Trip to KL

On 25th and 26th March, my roommates, gf and I went to KL for a study trip organized by Kelab Badminton UUM (KBUUM) 

We departed from UUM at 11 pm, 25th March and reached KL in the early Morning next day.. We started our trip at National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil.

We were greeted by friendly staffs and were exposed to the complex by the introduction video followed by visiting the sports facilities..

After visiting the National Sports Complex, we went to Berjaya Times Square..!! I was my first time I went Times Square..!! Awesome experience.. What I can say is, one day wouldn't enough for me to visit all the shoplots inside the Times Square.. 

My friend found the best and large crispy fried chicken inside the Berjaya Times Square.. Just RM 6.00 per piece..!! It was very delicious especially the powders.. haha.. To get one crispy fried chicken, go to this Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks, located at third floor  :)

On the way back to UUM, I saw an interesting view on the sky..

Wish to go to the Berjaya Times Square again in next few months when an exchange participant, I brought in from Finland to work in the Berjaya University College of Hospitality.. Great..!!

UUM Convo Expo

On 28 March, my gf, roomates, and I went to the Convocation Expo located opposite the PKU..

We were surprised to see the number of people there and were too shocked to see the prices for the foods and beverages.. Everything was so expensive..

The Pizza, disappointed me as the ingredients were so less..!!

I like the Chicken Chop source.. very nice :)

23th Convocation

Yesterday was my friend's sister graduation day.. My friends, gf and I went to congratulate her and bought a flower as a gift to her.. 

The area around the Dewan Mu'Adzam Shah was spectacular as the graduates and their parents were all around the places, snapping photos after the ceremony ended at 12 pm.. 

Congratulation to all graduates and wish you all the best in your future career :)

However, with the new RM 38.00 monthly package, the Streamyx Cool Uni Pack would become the most cheapest broadband ever in Malaysia, beating the nearest competitors..

Smooth Registration

I camped in FPK (Faculty Accounting) since yesterday Morning until this Morning.. I am doing so because I was preparing for the course registration for my next semester timetable beginning this Morning at 8am..

It was a very smooth course registration process compared to last year.. This time, I finished added all my next semester courses within 10 seconds.. lol.. 

Earlier, for precaution steps, I opened Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers for adding courses.. However, Firefox alone did all the job.. Hail Firefox :)

Airshow Tragic in UUM

A very sad news shadowed everyone in UUM as an aircraft, Pilatus PC-7 MK2 crashed into forest reserve in the University Utara Malaysia near the TM and MISC residential halls..

The incident happened at 10.15 am according to The Star online and the pilot died on the spot even though he managed to to eject from his seat before the plane crashed into the forest..

The aircraft was earlier involved in the opening ceremony of the UUM's 23th Convocation Carnival..

I would like to express my deepest condolences to the pilot's family members.. May God bless the soul.. Rest in peace..

I was not in the scene during the incident as I was attending classes.. So, I didn't have additional photos or information about this mishap into my blog..

Trip to Langkawi

This was my first time I went to Langkawi.. But the trip to Langkawi was not for holiday but for business matter with  the AIESEC UUM partner which is located in Langkawi..

On 19 March, my senior and I went to Langkawi by ferry from the Kuala Perlis's Jetty.. It took us around an hour to reach Langkawi..

Besides of going to find the AIESEC partner in Kuah, Langkawi, we also been to The Andaman located in Datai Bay, Langkawi.. It took us about an hour travel from Kuah to Datai Bay even though I was riding the bike at the maximum speed. 

My hands were sunburned due to long exposure to sun.. My hands are still pain although it has been 5 days :( I can see very clearly my hands are darker after been to this trip.. :(

It was a great experience to be in Langkawi although for few hours.. I felt very excited riding the motorcycle along the Teluk Burau road as I can test my motor GP skills..haha

Furthermore, our time on bike was longer than our time on feet because we took a wrong road while on the way back to jetty..

Cool Uni Pack in UUM

Streamyx agents are coming to UUM this coming week during the convocation week :) They are here to promote the Streamyx Cool Uni Pack to first and second year students..

Today evening, they were here at the Varsity Mall, UUM, I went to ask one of the agent and he told me, the RM 50 cool uni pack package's price will be reduced to RM 38 monthly beginning this coming month bill.. Awesome news..!  

Course Registration for Semester 10/11 (A101)

Yesterday, I received a private message inside my facebook regarding the latest date of course registration for Semester 10/11 (A101)..

I checked inside the UUM student portal and the news was found inside the Announcement (Hebahan)..

There were two announcement inside there, first was students with the outstanding schools fees would not be allowed to sit for final examination.. I think this announcement was made due to the low response from students to pay the current bus fee which is RM 60 for this semester.. 

Second announcement was the course registration is scheduled to begin on 23rd March until 8th April 2010.. The next semester class timetable would be released on 22nd March 

Major change in this semester course registration compared to last semester was the time to start register courses had been changed from midnight to 8 am.. This was not a wise decision as at 8 am, there would be a lot of people accessing the UUM portal, hence crowding the site and lagging the course registration process.. Furthermore, the dates chosen are during class time and convocation week..

Then, I have to go out early in the morning, to get ready for the course registration.. and the most popular spots among students for registration were lecture halls..
